Super fan JZ Flair truly embodies the spirit of Bojangles. From his love of the food to the custom Bojangles suits he wears with pride, you can always catch him with a smile on his face and his championship belt on his waist!

JZ recalls how his life has transformed after being named the Bojangles Champion in 2018. Since then, he has embraced a series of exciting opportunities, including participating in toy shows at Figure Four Collectables to making ring announcements at wrestling events. His journey as the Bojangles Champion has not only brought personal, but professional joy by allowing him to connect with fellow fans and spread his passion for the brand.

A Legacy with Bo
Several years ago, JZ began the tradition of grabbing Bojangles after church on Sundays, which has since become a family-favorite ritual. He looks forward to grabbing a Tailgate Special or, occasionally, just biscuits.
Growing up in North Carolina, Bojangles has always been a beloved staple in JZ’s family. He would regularly dine at the location in his hometown, Roxboro, with his grandmother and also gather there with his friends after school. That hometown Bojangles holds a special place in his heart, representing many cherished memories.

Bojangles Meets WWE
JZ is ecstatic about the Bojangles and WWE partnership showcased in the collectable cups, as it combines his favorite restaurant and his love for wrestling, creating a perfect blend of his two passions. “I’ve got people all over my social media begging to have my cups. It’s nothing but a wildfire and it is absolutely spreading,” said JZ who proudly displays the collectable cups alongside his WWE and Bojangles memorabilia, hoping to inspire the same excitement in others that first drew him to wrestling.

Becoming the Bo’ Champ
JZ’s face lit up when asked about the moment he was named the Bojangles Champion on June 29, 2018. He remembers seeing a black podium with a yellow cloth covering the wrestling-style champion belt. “I thought, alright, there’s no way that’s a belt; it’s probably just a plaque, I’m not going to get my hopes up,” JZ recalls. “The gentleman there made the statement of, if you’re going to be the Bo Champion, you got to have the Bo Belt, and I was absolutely struck, I couldn’t believe it.”

The reaction from JZ’s family and friends to his self-proclaimed yet Bojangles-approved brand ambassador status was a mix of confusion and intrigue. The initial photos he shared with his belt while enjoying his usual Bojangles meals quickly became the center of attention. Since then, he has expanded his Bojangles collection to include masks, a gifted robe and suits - all of which he proudly wears to various events.

So What’s the Bo Champion’s Order?
The classic Cajun Filet biscuit with fries and, of course, a large Legendary Sweet Tea is JZ’s go-to order. Add some bacon, egg and pimento cheese and it becomes his traditional birthday order. When dining with his family, it’s all about the Tailgate Special with mac and cheese, Cajun pintos and mashed potatoes, in that order.

As for new menu items, JZ has embraced some recent additions like the Bird Dog, and another favorite is the sausage Bo-Berry Biscuit.

A Bo Champs Legacy
From cherished family traditions to exciting partnerships and favorite menu items, this champion’s love for Bojangles is evident in every aspect of his life. His enthusiasm is contagious and has inspired fans from across the country to make the trip to North Carolina for a taste of Bojangles.

As JZ continues to wear his championship belt with pride, he proves that with a little FLAIR and a whole lot of heart, anyone can be a champion. Here’s to many more years of spreading Bojangles joy with JZ Flair!
